Is this part of getting old? Warning TMI, period questions

I was always really heavy the first day or two. Messy heavy. I recently started using menstral cups instead of tampons so I don't know if it got worse in my late 30's or not, because mess has always been an issue. They have gotten closer together though. I wasn't regular until my late 20's (ever 30 days) and now at 37, every 27 days.

My periods have been regular until the last 4 to 6 months. I have been using the app Clue to try and track my periods better.

I got the irregularly for maybe a year before they just stopped. But I always got a little warning.
