A gunman opened fire in a Florida yoga studio on Friday, shooting six people and killing two of them before class members fought back and the attacker killed himself.
Police identified the shooter early Saturday morning as 40-year-old Scott Paul Beierle, 40.
The shooting's two victims were identified as 61-year-old Dr. Nancy Van Vessem and 21-year-old Maura Binkley.
It happened at the Hot Yoga studio at an upscale shopping center in Florida's capital, Tallahassee, Police Chief Michael DeLeo told reporters.
The shooter pistol-whipped one man in the yoga class who rushed him after he opened fire, the Tallahassee Democrat newspaper reported.

Our country is going nuts.
But the gun fans don’t care.
If we had 100% background checks and every gun owner had to carry a permit, that would help . We need to be examined and tested for an auto license and carry it for identification but gun lovers don’t have to and they refuse to cooperate.
All we hear is the same old paranoid crap: “ they can’t take our guns away! “ or “ i support the 2nd Amendment “ .
Duh.
