I offered $5 to whichever kid wanted to scoop the dog poop from the backyard.

They decided to split the chore and get $2 each. I agreed to that.

DS 9 would not stop complaining about having to do it.

Which is crazy because he volunteered when I offered the deal. I wasn't making him.

Then he comes out into the backyard with toys. I said how can you do this job if you've got toys? He complained about that too, about not being allowed to play with toys while he did it.

So I told him you're done. I'm tired of this bitching. No one's making you. When you get paid to do a job you don't bitch and moan the entire time. You do the job you are paid to do and do it without constantly bitching.Try again next time.

Now he's mad he lost the opportunity to make money but he did it to himself.

What would you have done?

My other 2 will now make $2.50 each. They are young so it's a lot of money to them.

Anyway, chores aren't usually paid around here. They'd have to be major chores to get any dinero.

I dont pay for chores. You do the chores assigned to you...period.
