It’s the U.N.’s classic MO. Parrot Hamas numbers as facts for months and then go “oops!” It’s the same MO as Hamas, who’s been making up numbers for months and just recently admitted that oops! turns out we can’t account for 11,000 deaths we claimed! And what happens is that people continue to spread the lies and propaganda and dismiss the truth as false. They count on the fact that the damage they wanted to inflict is already done and nothing will fix it.

"When asked to explain the sudden change in their statistics, Farhan Aziz Haq, a spokesman for U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, told Fox News Digital that the breakdowns were based on data from the Ministry of Health in Gaza, and that those figures "can vary based on their own verification process that they undertake."

"The United Nations teams on the ground in Gaza are unable to independently verify those figures given the prevailing situation on the ground and the sheer volume of fatalities," the spokesman said. "It is for this reason that all figures used by the U.N. clearly cite the Health Ministry in Gaza as the source."

Not to mention that most deaths in Gaza have been combatants, including in the “women” and “children” categories. “Civilians” means a different thing when we’re dealing with a terrorist group that uses civilians as combatants and as willing martyrs.

UNRWA has had questionable intentions since its creation. First, the U.N. already had an agency responsible for helping and protecting refugees from conflict, UNHCR. There was no need whatsoever to create a specific agency for palestinian refugees. Second, palestinians- who are really nothing more than Jordanians that were displaced after Israel won the West Bank from Jordan- are the only refugees in the world that “inherit” the refugee status. Unlike the UNHCR, who relocates refugees and helps them to integrate into society so their children are no longer consider “refugees”, UNRWA was created to maintain palestinians in a perpetual refugee status, dependent on foreign aid. Why? Simple. They remain in a perpetual state of victimhood. If they succeed in integrating to a society or in creating their own, they’re no longer Israeli “victims”. Happy, productive, prosperous Palestinians means peace and Israel stops being accused of oppressing and occupying the palestinians. Too many people aren’t interested in that happening. A lot of them in the U.N.
