a bill signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis on Thursday would allow volunteer chaplains to provide support services for public K-12 students.

"We're not playing those games in Florida," DeSantis said at a press conference at a high school in Kissimmee. "[Satanism] is not a religion. That is not qualifying to be able to participate in this."

I don't think the Governor of FL picking and choosing who is able to participate and be deemed a "chaplain" is going to hold up under legal challenge.

I guess we have to accept them all as “real”…

But I understand the hesitation.

All the other religions are based on their own spiritual beliefs…
Satanism is the only one I can think of that is based on a “f**k you” to another religion…

The IRS recognizes satanism as a religion. Florida isn’t above the constitution. I’m a Christian but this country has religious freedoms and chaplains have no place in public schools if religions aren’t equally represented.

I don’t think it’s really a f**k you to Christianity, from what I’ve seen they don’t really care if others want to be Christian, they just don’t believe that Christianity should unequally influence government and it shouldn’t impact those who aren’t Christian. They don’t just show up at churches and protest, they go to government sites. Atheism is a protected religious class.

No strong opinion. To each its own, but I don’t support satanism or want anything to do with it.

I do. Neoism is a religion I invented myself, but it's a complete religion, with a moral structure, cosmology, and spiritual technology. Perhaps I should apply to serve as a chaplain, lol.

It's to make a political and rhetorical point, as you know. It's a f**k you to religious oppression.

DeSatan is still focusing on one day being POTUS. It doesn't matter to him if his policies are a violation of the COTUS. He just needs to keep himself popular with the base.
