So… Trump is at the funeral of slain NYPD officer. Biden is at a fundraiser with Lizzo…

Yeah, it sucks, but it's not one iota less true for "Republican elites" especially Trump. Democrats occasionally actually do things to help working people, like getting them healthcare and social aid, so again I don't buy that this is a "Dems are bad, Repubs are good" moment.

I’m not downplaying the accusations made against Lizzo and at all saying it should be forgiven and ignored if proven guilty. But bringing up accusations made toward one of his 5,000 fundraiser attendees and stating that in the original post as if her being at the fundraiser as if it proves something about him and where he should have been that day is beyond a stretch. Trump is a convicted rapist, that doesn’t mean anything about the family of the murdered officer still having him at the funeral.Slimshandy wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 10:22 amWhat’s a stretch?Olioxenfree wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 9:38 am That’s a stretch if I’ve ever seen one. He is at a fundraiser that he is hosting for 5,000 people, he isn’t just chilling with lizzo at a fundraiser for the local country club. What happened to the police officer is of course a horrible tragedy. Over a dozen people die at work everyday, the active president isn’t going to all of their funerals. 99.9%, Trump only went for the publicity, not because he gives a crap about that man’s family.
That’s where they were…
That’s why Lizzo’s backup dancers are suing her for sexual harassment…

You do realize that the largest political party of the 1% is republican and most democrats are “most Americans” right…

As a nation, we completely ruined Billy Bush’s entire career because he laughed at a vile joke made by Trump, now we clap along as Biden dances to someone who is being sued for some pretty disgusting sexual assault reasons, but we don’t bat an eye if it’s democrats doing it…

Will you be carrying the same criticisms of being out of touch and fundraisers being pay to play to when Trump and Republican elites do it?
“Former President Donald Trump’s campaign is seeking to outraise President Joe Biden next week, aiming to take in more than $33 million to top a new single-event fundraising record set by Biden on Thursday with $25 million, said a person familiar with the Trump event who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal planning.
Trump is inviting wealthy donors to Palm Beach, Florida, home to his Mar-a-Lago estate, for an April 6 fundraiser hosted by New York hedge fund billionaire John Paulson and listing as co-chairs other high-dollar donors such as Las Vegas-based businessman Robert Bigelow, casino mogul Steve Wynn and New York grocery billionaire John Catsimatidis. Guests are being asked to contribute $814,600 per person as a “chairman” contributor or $250,000 per person. Perks of attendance include a personalized copy of Trump’s coffee table book with photographs from his administration.”

They don't bat an eye when it's Trump doing it.
