The lesson they are being taught : Whether it’s a positive or negative stereotype; the act of stereotyping people by race is not ok.

The actual example my daughter’s teacher was using in class was that sometimes people say “Asians are good at math”, but there are a plethora of reasons why saying that is not ok, and how even positive stereotypes can cause negative reactions.

Would you agree or disagree?

Agree but in a learning environment, it is important to teach why that stereotype was formed in the first place rather than just saying it's bad.

Isn't teaching about stereotypes like teaching CRT?

Only if you include the facts about historical discrimination and financial exploitation. If you just say "everyone is equal - nothing to see here - case closed" then it's not a problem.

I think this is more along the lines of “How to be nice to everyone “.

That's what being woke means.

That’s not what it means.
What does it mean to you; how do you personally define being woke?

I edited my reply because true, maybe that is what means to you. See the above link to have a better understanding of what it may mean to multiple viewpoints.

I 100% agree. However I think it needs to go further than just race. Religion, gender, and nationality are all stereotyped

We all by nature have bias, but we don't need to keep perpetuating it.
