Two metro Atlanta women say they were fired from the Lululemon in Peachtree Corners for calling the police to report a robbery.

Jennifer Ferguson was the assistant manager at the time.

"All of a sudden we see some gentlemen run into the store in masks and hoodies," Ferguson said. "They swiped until they couldn't hold any more product and ran out the door."

What a strange story. I can't view the video for some reason, but the company said that they were fired for "engaging" with the robbers. What does that mean?

Well, it says that “They were terminated for knowingly violating our zero-tolerance policy related to physically engaging with the perpetrators which put their lives and the safety of our guests and other employees at risk”. And I can sort of see their point if this is true. If as a result of them physically engaging with the robbers they or a customer gets hurt, they become liable and it can open up a lawsuit. Not to mention the bad publicity. If someone is hurt or killed as a result of the actions of an employee, that’s bad.
But they claim they’ve been told they’re not supposed to call the police and keep it quiet, so who knows who’s stretching the truth here.
