"The big picture: Florida is home to an estimated 772,000 undocumented immigrants, according to the Migration Policy Institute. More than 81,000 of them live in Hillsborough, Pinellas and Polk counties."

Is he going to round them up?

Desantis is just throwing out all this red meat to his base, which is not reflective of the country he wants to be president of, and has no thought to the economic or social impact on his state. His base loves anti-abortion policies, he enacts them, but women die, doctors leave, people move out. He tosses out anti LGBTQ laws, which is base loves, but again, it's driving out young people and families and causing employers to not invest in his state (e.g., Disney). He thinks he scoring big on xenophobia and anti-immigration rhetoric but his state will lose hundreds of workers. He's going to be left with a bunch of retirees and nobody to take care of them.

Ok, all the Floridians crying that immigrants are taking their jobs: your time to shine. Let’s go. 😒😒😒

This state will lose hundreds if not thousands of workers. This state will lose money. DeSatan does not care about Florida one bit. Only his hatefilled base.

personally know people leaving the state because of this.

You have to admit…

It is a tad ridiculous that there was a law allowing those under an illegal status to practice law in our courts…

What is your argument that those with DACA protections should not be able to practice law?

It doesn’t say only DACA recipients, it says undocumented…

When it comes to DACA recipients, I think they should just be granted legal status…

"Florida, along with 12 other states, do admit undocumented people to the Bar.

Florida governor and now Republican Senator Rick Scott, signed that legislation into law in 2014."

Half of undocumented students in Florida universities are DACA recipients and while a nice sentiment, there is no pathway for citizenship or legal status for the recipients. There are currently over 40,000 undocumented students in higher education in Florida.

That’s still my opinion though…

DACA recipients should be given legal status, and it’s fine to not allow those holding an illegal status to practice law in our courts…
