Alec Baldwin scored another win in the Rust case as special prosecutor, Andrea Reeb, announced on Tuesday she's stepping down. The move comes one month after the actor's legal team filed a motion asking the judge to have her dismissed, claiming her status as a Republican lawmaker in the New Mexico House of Representatives is "unconstitutional."

It does feel a bit like the prosecutor was trying to make a name for herself by going after him. Not that I don't think he shares some responsibility, but he did seem somewhat targeted. I get it, it's a high-profile case, but I don't think it was right.

I think she's right and I think she did the right thing. It begs another question- should we allow politicians to simultaneously hold positions like that? If someone gets elected, do we let them continue to practice law? You can't be mayor and sheriff, lol.
