Of course not. But I also wouldn't chat about the latest super plus tampon Kotex has out at checkout the way myself or a woman cashier might strike up a conversation about it. You are delusional if you think men want to chat about tampons.Traci_Momof2 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 1:58 pmDo you also avoid male cashiers when purchasing feminine hygiene products?Anonymous 1 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 7:28 pmNo not at all. I love men. It's just that I have never discussed my periods, or bleeding, or breast soreness with any man other than my DH. That's women talk. And I had my 3rd appointment today with the specialist ( another woman LOL) and I will be having a hysterectomy on Mar 21. Finally an end to my problems!
Would you have a problem with MEN doing these jobs?
That's not "women talk". You sound really old fashioned which is kinda sad. Kids are taught they can be anything they want when they grow up, but apparently men can't be ultrasound techs or work with women becauseAnonymous 1 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 7:28 pmNo not at all. When you have woman issues like a heavy period, or pms problems, or pregnancy issues, or cramps etc do you talk about it with any males friends/relatives? Or would you only mention these things when chatting with your woman friends ?
hmm
I highly doubt any cashier would want to strike up a conversation about tampons - man or woman. It's not their job unlike an ultrasound tech who is trained in their job.Anonymous 1 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 2:54 pmOf course not. Correct men can't do mammograms in certain countries. Here in the US like 97% of techs are women. So you most likely won't ever come across a man doing it here. And I'm not old fashioned, I just know my audience. It ok to keep some things separate between genders imo.Anonymous 8 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 4:21 pmThat's not "women talk". Now that seems a little creepy, the cashier striking up a conversation about tampons. But I don't like it when my cashier, man or woman, starts trying to talk to me about the items I am buying. I've had it happen before and I just want to tell them to shut up and do their job. When I was a cashier I never tried to strike up a conversation about what people were buying. Weird.Anonymous 1 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 2:54 pmOf course not. But, one time when I was a cashier in college, and I was on my period and I couldn't get away from my register in time, I had a leakage problem. I had to tell my supervisor that I needed to step away not just long enough to go use the restroom but long enough to get a whole different pair of pants. There was no way I could stay in those light colored pants for another 5 or 6 hours with the way they were soiled. Now that was embarrassing.
I had a uterus full of fibroid tumors. The last few months before I had my hysterectomy, was in so much continuous pain, bled so much, that I could not have cared less that a man was the one doing the vaginal ultrasound and the uterine tissue biopsy.

I give zero fucks about the gender of my medical staff, regardless of my reason for being there and what was going on.

Not about money for me. Family history of breast cancer on paternal grandma's side, plus her only daughter passed away from uterine cancer. Oldest sister passed away from ovarian cancer back in August at only 56( only 10 years older than me). Then toss on our mom was adopted.Anonymous 2 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 31, 2023 10:53 pmOf course they did. Guidelines have changed, depending on which expert group you are referencing ACOG vs. ACS vs. the UsPTF, but many providers will recommend females with low or average risk for breast cancer wait until at age 45, or even 50 for their first mammogram
