Teens create free "Period Pantry"

I agree - at the very least there should be a supply at the nurse's office for free.

The pantry they set up serves the community as well, not just students. It is next to a free food pantry so people can get both types of supplies.

Oh I clearly did not read well enough lol. That's an awesome service these kids are providing.

I wrote a paper about a similar effort at the university level. Trans people and people with disabilities joined forces with a campus group called "Aunt Flo and the Plug Patrol" to make sure that all campus bathrooms were accessible to the handicapped, usable by those who identified with the gender labeling, and stocked with hygiene supplies. The paper was about how the ordering of public spaces dictates the attitudes and behaviors of the people who use them, and how confronting such things can bring disparate groups together in common cause.

So, good for them.
