Of course, but in an evangelical context, rise up doesn’t mean anything violent.
From the mouth of someone who has expressly stated that they do not approve of the separation of church and state, I don't think it is a leap at all.
Fully believing that- what makes you feel that would be violent?

( we’re not going to bring up the crusades here, right…?)
Come on...that's incredibly naive, Bob. Do you think the crusades are the last time Christians used or suggested using violence to get their way?

They call for it regularly. It's literally part of their scripture. I just watched a video of a preacher assault a woman in church, from the pulpit, while he was preaching, because she called him out for condoning spousal abuse. He literally choked her in front of his entire congregation and he's still their preacher.

And FYI, Andrew Whitehead (quoted several times in the article) researches, teaches, and writes on religion, politics, and culture…specifically Christian Nationalism. He is what most would deem an expert on this topic. https://raac.iupui.edu/about/who-we-are ... whitehead/
Did you see video of Trump's rally in Ohio last night?
I saw a clip of like the last 8-10 minutes of it, I believe. It’s weird how similar it is to an altar call at the end of church service.
I know that a lot of media attention has been on it looking like the Sieg Heils but it looked like an altar call to me which I found in some respects even more disturbing.

The gun porn makes you think the people who vote by Christian values are going to be violent?

Lol Does that seem like it made national news because it’s a typical occurrence, or because no one is ok with it and some guy lost his shit on camera?

I don't know if it made national news or not.

Are you actually trying to make a case that Christian scripture is non violent? That Christians do not have a long and well documented history of using violence to achieve their goals? What kind of a rock does one have to live under to think anything else?

Christian scripture has violence in it…
Muslim scripture has violence in it…
Buddhist writings have violence in them…
The history of atheists have violent people strewn within their ranks…

The evangelical churches that teach the commandments of Jesus Christ as the guiding way do not condone violence.

Does defending yourself and your country encompass a violence that is unnecessary?

Are all pro-military, and pro-police supporters condoning violence since violence will at times be needed?
