So, the child is supposed to be trapped in the house indefinitely? Stop being a jerk.
Or “trapped in the house” one day until her surgery…

How dare I follow the instructions of the specialist who told me it was fine for her to go. I, as a parent, should certainly know more than a medical professional at a top rated hospital for children especially when it comes to bones.
The specialist told you that you had to go cart your kid around on errands one day before major surgery while they had an unstable injury that could under no circumstances handle weight. Sure.
I read that the fracture was stable. If it was unstable the girl would’ve been in surgery already. Now maybe I’d left my kid at home but some try to do too much. I’m like that. This could’ve happened at home actually. At least she’s fine now.

You think it's stable now that she's had surgery? 🤣🤣🤣 before it was she couldn't put weight on it because it could make it worse. Now it could mess up her entire recovery. But I'm still not going to trap her in the house after talking to the pt she will be using a wheelchair in public places until she can start putting more weight on it. If it's somewhere smooth without a ton of walking she's encouraged to use her walker though even in public. She has to keep moving even with the risk or it will hinder her recovery. We are both so afraid of another fall the pt decided a walker was in her best interest with its increased stability.
You just keep proving you have no clue what you're talking about.

I am sorry you had to endure that.

I posted a few days ago about my son reporting severe pain after his knee surgery. It just sucked!

It was emotionally impactful to the point, I have a lot of anxiety & am fighting an internal sense of dread knowing he has to endure physical therapy and then ANOTHER surgery.

Oh I'm so sorry. I commented on that post actually and I've been so thankful my daughter hasn't had pain like that. She hasn't had Tylenol in 12 hours and motrin in 15 now that I think about it. They did an amazing job on her. I hope your sons next surgery is easier on the 2 of you and less painful for him.

Hope your daughter has a speedy recovery.
My daughter has pretty extensive plastic/reconstructive surgery recently. The day of surgery and days after I thought she was going to be in terrible pain, but she said it was okay. I think she has a high pain tolerance.

Thanks she's doing amazing today. She's moving around more and says she doesn't need pain meds. I've told her if it starts to hurt tell me and I'll give her meds but she's like nah I'm good.
