My dd from my 1st marriage is married and having a baby.
She was discussing grandparent nicknames.
My Son in law parents are going to be grandma and grandpa. My ex husband and his wife said they will be nanny and pappy.
My daughter wants to know what we will be called.
My husband said he always liked pops or papa.
I said about just my 1st name or aunt 1st name or lady G.
Now I have 3 kids with my husband 13,10,5. I think they will be freaked out by a grandma name.
My daughter said no to my ideas. She said they don't want anything weird or cute.
They said I could be grams or mawmaw.

Are you for real?
You are going to be a grandma. I’d own it. No matter the name, you can’t hide that from your kids. Pshhhh, kids are resilient!
Congrats!!

I’m grandma. Doesn’t bother me.

What you will be called is not up to her.

I look forward to being a grandma. I like Grammie. Simply because it's not formal.

Aunt? That's offensive. Like you're not accepting the child.
