How is that related to the current criminal investigation of Trump’s payoffs to two women he had S*x with and whether he violated tax law as claimed by Trump’s former attorney? Was it to distract his low information base?
Supreme court votes 7-2 in favor of Trump having to release tax returns

This cracks me up. It goes from everyone is a liar, to whatabout Obama, to who cares.
The majority of the country don’t want a corrupt president. There’s credible information that he committed tax fraud with regard to payments to two women he had S*x with. He paid them substantial money to be quiet and is accused of claiming the payments as legitimate deductions on his taxes.
Trump’s long time attorney, Michael Cohen is in jail because of tax fraud and campaign violations regarding Trump’s campaign and he’s gonna take trump down with him.
If there was nothing to hide he would have handed them over to the prosecutors and this would have been all over. It’s really simple.

I read that title and chuckled. Little red ears hear much different things than the rest of the world hears.Mommamia wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 11:50 pm Your title is a lie. The SC did not say he has to release his returns.

The Supreme Court has delivered a split decision on subpoenas for President Donald Trump’s tax returns and personal financial records, unanimously rejecting his broadest claims of “absolute” immunity in a New York state criminal investigation, but ruling that lower courts did not do enough to scrutinize congressional subpoenas for similar records.
The pair of highly anticipated decisions likely mean more delays and court proceedings on both subpoenas, increasing the odds that Trump makes it to the Nov. 3 election without releasing his tax and financial details to the prosecutors and congressional committees demanding them.
More significantly, the rulings could permanently curb Congress’ formidable subpoena power against the executive branch, which lawmakers have wielded as a cudgel for information for decades. All the justices said Congress has deployed an over broad interpretation of its own power.
Ruling on several House subpoenas issued to Trump’s accountants and banks, a seven-justice majority said courts did not do enough to examine Democratic lawmakers' claims that they needed the records as part of inquiries aimed at strengthening laws combating a wide range of ills, including money laundering, official conflicts of interest and foreign influence in U.S. elections.
Chief Justice John Roberts, who authored the majority opinions Thursday in both of the politically sensitive subpoena disputes, said lower-court judges needed to take “a balanced approach” to the congressional subpoenas, closely examining Congress’ need for the information, ensuring that the subpoenas are tailored to those purposes and considering whether there might be alternate sources of information.

Why on earth should a person be required to release their personal financial information from when they were a private citizen? That's ridiculous.
If it happens with him, guess what? That opens the door for the REST of OUR privacy to be invaded going forward. Nothing will be sacred any longer. That's what's off putting about this to me.
Release them from while he's in public office - great. I'm all about that. Congress is trying to get TEN YEARS of his tax returns. WHY? For what purpose?
Does Nancy think line 19A on the 1040 is labelled "Russian bribe money?
So Pelosi and Schiff can paw through them and try to manufacture another wrong that doesn't exist and waste another two years and $30 million of our money?
That's not their business nor is it their right. They need to focus on doing some real work - CA and other states are in pathetic shape. Their constituents must be furious after nearly 4 years of doing nothing but chasing Trump.
If he were a public servant, then I'm all for it. I think we should examine the returns of the children of those in Congress and the Senate - Pelosi, Mittens, Biden. Because their children have high paying positions with Ukraine energy companies.
Congressmen and Senators are not going to take their bribes into their own accounts. They're going to launder their fees for services rendered through family.
How's old Nance, who's been a public servant for 40 plus years, have a net worth of $150M again? How is it that socialist Bernie has 3 homes again?
I know books, right!
I can't understand WHY more people aren't upset about this happening and the implications for all of us, and WHY more people aren't incensed about the 4 year long waste of time and money on bullshit investigations.
