My LOs birthday is coming up. What is a good tablet for a five year old?
Durable
Good gaming
Lower price tag

I am looking at so many and getting overloaded

I'm no help I don't believe in tablets for kids that young. Good luck on your search.

Anything more than a learning tablet from a company like Leapfrog is NOT age appropriate for a 5 year old.

While I wouldn’t let a 5 year old play video games, you can subscribe to (for a cost) IXL and ABC mouse, which have a ton of educational content for children that age.

I think Kindle has a kid version. Idk what's different about it, though.

I got my kids kindles when they were younger. They are under $100

I had kindles in the past. They are good but I like having an android base.

Depends on how you supervise it. On long car rides or waiting for older brothers to finish their activities my LOs can watch Disney plus, PBS kids, YouTube kids or play kiddie games like baby bus etc etc...
