What's for dinner 1/23/20?
I saute onions or shallots in olive oil or bacon drippings. When the onion is soft I add salt & pepper and flour, stir to combine and cook for a few minutes. Then I add tomato juice and diced tomatoes and cook until its thick.Anonymous 4 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 11:05 pm How do you make your tomato gravy? I love it over rice.
Sometimes i substitute the tomato juice with beef or chicken stock. If you want a creamy tomato gravy you can use milk

We also love any and all seafood except raw oystersAnonymous 3 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 8:38 pm Grilled chicken and risotto with onions, garlic, spinach, asparagus, and tomatoes.
Tomorrow is scallops and vegetable fried rice.

How do you prepare your bbq pork chops and do you use boneless or bone-in?
I made them a long time ago with bone in, oven baked, and they were just blah.
I love the idea of bbq chops but haven't come across a fool proof recipe.
Oven-cooked french toast, oven-cooked bacon and cheesy scrambled eggs with scallions.

we tried a jalapeno peach chicken sausage we picked up at the Amish market. it was actually pretty good. we had it with tater tots because one of us (not me) gets way too excited about having tater tots.

The oranges of the island are like blazing fire
Amongst the emerald boughs
And the lemons are like the paleness of a lover
Who has spent the night crying.
My soul was ripped to shreds on 10/27/14
