Would you take her to the doctor?

About a week ago DD13 slammed her finger in the car door, it sliced her finger pretty good, but once we got it all cleaned up it stopped bleeding and we bandaged it, it didn't really look like it needed stitches, and she really didn't want to go to the Dr, so we just kept it clean and bandaged for a couple of days.

Well now a week later she keeps saying it still hurts pretty bad I looked at it and it hurts to touch, it also looks swollen and the cut itself looks blackish. it's not red or smelly or pus.

But I am still worried it might be infected. Would you take her in? (She still doesn't want to go) or just see how it heals?

I hate doctors and only go if absolutely necessary. Due to the "the cut looks blackish" and the swollen issue... if it were me, I would go in.

I'd probably put colloidal silver on it over the weekend and keep a close eye on it. If it gets worse at all I'd go in.

Hot to the touch would drive me in. That's not something I'd mess with.

I would've taken her immediately after the incident.

Best wishes.

I'd be more worried about it being broken than infected.

Yes I would take her in. It's been a week and it hurts more instead of less. It's probably broken.
