I don't see why we would need to be beholden to standards that another country has set. Why would the U.S., who is the world's big brother and provides aid in all forms to so many, want to have standards on ANYTHING dictated to us? We're the world leader.
What benefit is gained by giving up our sovereignty on ANY front? What is gained by us being judged and held to everyone else's standards? Where to do we win by adding restrictions for ourselves that we didn't design?
