Spinoff-do you consider someone who is 51 as elderly?
Just curious in another post a poster described a 51 year old man as elderly. What say you?

Umm..not even close. If that is elderly, I'm screwed as I'm 44. My brother is 53 and could run rings around most 20 year olds. 51 is middle aged and 65 is considered a senior citizen.

Hell, no. My DH is 51 and far from elderly. He’s halfway to elderly . I can’t even see my 80 year old FIL as “elderly”. He works, he exercises, his mind is sharp, he’s healthy.
Now, DH’s 95 year old grandmother... she’s “elderly”.
Anyone who thinks someone in his/her 50s is elderly is a moron.

No that isn't elderly. Hubby would have been 64 this year, and I don't consider that elderly either. My MIL is 86+, now that is elderly.
