Not seeing original post

I can't see the original post in about half of the posts I open. I can see all the replies but can only see the original post if it has been quoted by someone else.
What's the deal?

It seems like people think they’re deleting their post, but they’re actually only deleting the body of the post.

This is correct but there also is a problem with the delete topic extension at the moment so that’s causing people to not be able to delete their topics at all which may contribute to more people deleting the op only. I’m trying to fix it now.
