Wage garnishments just don't happen; they evolve over a legal process. The only ways to stop the garnishment of wages is to pay off the debt; make alternate arrangement with the debtor; challenge the legal action that approved the garnishment; or talk to your employer. The latter, talking to your employer probably won't work because they can be fined for not processing a garnishment order.
