It was his fault, unfortunately. He was wearing protective gear and everything, but he blew a stop sign. He was probably so focused on his riding that he didn't even see the stop sign. The lady that hit was was his age, 66. I can't imagine how devastated she is. So sad all around.

Thank You.. We were close.
I talked to him 2 hours before he died- there was no indication there was anything wrong. He sounded fine. I told him I would be by his place later. He told me don't worry. 2 hrs later I get a frantic call from his girl friend saying he was on the floor unconscious and the paramedics were working on him..The whole time i'm on the phone with her I can hear the paramedics in the background.. I will never forget that phone call.
