I hate to be this pedantic but that is not what the courts decided. They said in his specific case only, he was treated unfairly. It didn't actually touch the issue of whether he was within his rights to deny service to a class of people protected by state law.

Nope. As much as I find Sanders an appalling person who lies for Trump every time she opens her mouth, it is still not right to toss someone due to their political beliefs. As a private person you can think what you want but when you get into the public arena you are wrong to refuse service based on your private beliefs. And it is also very wrong to think it's ok to refuse service to someone because you don't like that person as a member of a group you dislike. When you are a public business you have no right to refuse service to someone who is gay, who is using birth control, or even who is a moron defending Trump. Once you are public and offering a service you no longer have the right to spread your BS in that venue.

I'm on the fence as to whether I"m fine with that general premise or not, honestly. But the bakery case butted up against the state's anti-discrimination laws, and it's still undecided whether somebody's religions objections override equal access and discrimination in public accommodations.

I agree I'm on the fence with that. And anyone's money is good enough for me. I might refuse the head of the KKK if I recognized him. But over politics? Nah. I'd have to refuse a lot of people.

I actually think they're different. The baker's refusal did not come from a place of hatred. He had no problem serving gay people cakes out of his shop. He would serve gay people the same as straight people. He just would not make a custom artistic expression for a ceremony which violated his religious beliefs. artistic expression is a form of protected speech. whereas this woman refused service completely because she hates Sarah Sanders and Trump supporters.

That said, I do think she has the right to refuse service even if I think shes a c**t.
