Basically being aware of what is happening, and it’s usually meant to describe racism, sexism, or whatever other kind of “ism” is in the news on a given day.

I'm the odd one out, I am sad that student in higher education, feels so shamed and guilty about her race, that she feels, that alone, is worthy of not even passing on her genes to the next generation.
