For all of you who were so upset that Amazon and Whole Foods are forced to pay $15/hour to their employees, take solace in the fact that they don't pay taxes.

According to Forbes Magazine -
Those wondering how many zeros Amazon, which is valued at nearly $800 billion, has to pay in federal taxes might be surprised to learn that its check to the IRS will read exactly $0.00.

According to a report published by the Institute on Taxation and Economic (ITEP) policy Wednesday, the e-tail/retail/tech/entertainment/everything giant won’t have to pay a cent in federal taxes for the second year in a row.

This tax-free break comes even though Amazon almost doubled its U.S. profits from $5.6 billion to $11.2 billion between 2017 and 2018.

To top it off, Amazon actually reported a $129 million 2018 federal income tax rebate—making its tax rate -1%.
According to Donald Trump -
Donald J. Trump

I have stated my concerns with Amazon long before the Election. Unlike others, they pay little or no taxes to state & local governments, use our Postal System as their Delivery Boy (causing tremendous loss to the U.S.), and are putting many thousands of retailers out of business!
But save your scorn for the working class. OK.

I don't want to hear another goddamn word about EIC recipients. If Amazon can reap these benefits then by God the poor can have theirs. I've always said it's the middle class that pays taxes along with the small businessmen. And it's a F***ing disgrace. Amazon should stop its whining.

Stop with the complaining about the Postal service though. The Postal Service made a deal with Amazon-it's not as if they somehow did an end run around the rules or something. According to several source the Postal Service actually makes money on Amazon deliveries. Certainly don't go by the buffoon in the White House -he is clueless about what is going on.

You know it’s not free right? It’s added to the price of the item. And people need to shop local as much as they can. And that doesn’t mean nasty Walmart.
