I think abortion should be covered for any women who wants it

Where I live anyone can get a free abortion at a public hospital via medicare

What do you think? If some people think insurance should cover IVF I wonder if people also think they should cover abortions. One is a hell of a lot cheaper and more effective than the other

I’d love to see free abortion for anyone, but that’s unlikely to happen.

Considering the utter nonsense I've seen insurance cover, I wouldn't have a problem with it covering abortion. I've seen insurance pay for lap band surgery, breast implants, erectile dysfunction medication all while denying life saving medication and procedures so yeah, I'd be fine with it covering abortion since that is a lot more serious than implants and Viagra.

It’s a medical procedure that should be covered or partially covered.

Yes and I think Medicaid should cover abortion as well but not ivf or infertility treatments. It's a whole lot cheaper to fund an abortion than 18 years of medical care and other state assistance for the future child.

Some already do.
But of course its like every other procedure and subject to deductible or co insurance.

For medically indicated abortions, sure. Otherwise, it’s an elective procedure and it shouldn’t be covered.

Texas Medicaid does, but I think there are restrictions, like risk of fetal or maternal demise and the standard rape, incest ,etc.

I don't know much about it because we don't do abortions.
