Extremists spreading lies about west coast fires

There is no discussing issues with extremists. There are no disputes between the FBI and local police forces in the northwest. They are all clear that there is no evidence that wild fires are being set by left wing or right wing groups. But extremists and their conspiracy theories can’t even discuss the issue rationally.

Lots of camping happening due to pandemic. Yes, the Sweet Creek was caused by a person. But he has been someone n in and out of prison with no antifa ties, and homeless to boot. Someone in one of the FB groups I belong to who knows Maas said he's never been "quite" right. Honestly I don't know what to say about bottle rocket guy. There have been lots of calls to the different PD's of panicked people who are eating the rumours up. Right along with the friend of a friend, who knows someone saw posts. Those ones are getting cracked down on. The Holiday Farm Fire which is about an hour or less away from me was started from high winds, and downed powerlines on Monday night. The fire is now moving north&south.

Monday things went to big time hell here in my area of western Oregon. In under 5 minutes that evening it went from being beautifully sunny to WTF just happened? We had high winds, and suddenly we were blanketed with a huge layer of smoke from the north fires. It was almost 8:30 when the HFF started, with immediate evacuations in the area it started, and grew from there. It's put several towns, cities, and two counties into all kinds of chaos. I have friends, family, co-workers, and my boss into level 3 evacuation mode. Many people Monday night barely had a few minutes to grab anything and go. Already know at least two people who no longer have a home. Two towns are now obliterated.

lol, my point was arson arrests, "arson arrest". someone being arrested isn't a debatable topic, its a fact, genius. The words "arson arrest" are in almost every link, you don't even have to click. most are local news, and a 1 one page article for each source doesn't compare to hundreds of pages on a complex broad topic like "systemic racism". the arrests are clear cut, they WERE ARRESTED, there is no debate you desperate woman.

I think a lot of them actually support ANTIFA, just like they support the Marxist BLM.

You hit the nail on the head about proper forest management. For over 50 years the tree hugging left wing zealots who rule the west coast haven't allowed controlled burns to get rid of all of that dense underbrush. They also run to fight every little fire, instead of letting nature run it's course. Then you have over building everywhere.

The huge fire in CA last year was caused by CA electric company not maintaining the wires, letting trees over grow causing electrical lines to snap, and poof, you have a fire. Then over the years, CA closed all of its nuclear power plants,.....the only safe, non polluting power source. Well now they can live with what they have created. Gotta love those rolling blackouts, especially when it's been 110 some days recently.

Turn OFF the appliances, but plug in the fan??? Makes perfect sense, if you're a california liberal tree-hugger!

So sad that people have lost their lives, family members, and everything they own - whole communities gone and forests destroyed. And people here and on other Social Media sites want to use this to promote a political hoax. Truly makes me fear for the future of America when I see this.

Our climate is at a dangerous and unhealthy point where our current actions can no longer tamp down disasters. Not just on the West Coast but with droughts, floods and sea level rise. How can people have so little concern for their country and citizens.
