One weird thing, I thought, was that he seemed to equate income gathered by writing a book with earned income -
while insinuating that made him above people who had jobs that actually benefited society.

He paid 26% of his adjusted income in federal taxes. It’s all there. One of the many reasons Trump won’t release, and there are many, is that he probably pays no federal tax. Kushner paid no federal income tax either, his tax returns were released.

So these wealthy people that can well afford to pay federal taxes don't-like Amazon. Yet we bitch at some poor sap on EIC why exactly? Why is it okay for Amazon to use tax shelters but the poor can't? We'd get far more in taxes from corporations than we ever will from eliminating it on the poor. I know after 8 years of giveaways - that's a tough thing to accept for them - but it's the way.

I wasn't even going to bother with the deficit point. You know I wanted to see spending slashed steeply as soon as President Trump got in office. There's no excuse for the deficit to be so high. We've created this enablement system where people form dependencies and even if we were to reduce the proposed increase in spending, people cry about cutting the program - throwing Granny off the cliff. It's ridiculous.
