When does school start for you?

My youngest is started Kindergarten this year, 8yr old going into 3rd grade and my oldest is starting middle school (6th grade). All of them start August 23rd.

Still need to get school supplies, they are all registered for school, need to finish paying the fees, and get some school clothes.

We start up August 27th. The only thing I have bought so far was backpack for my son. He is starting high school. The district made decision over the summer all middle and high school student can only have the clear/see thru backpacks. I was out grocery shopping and saw a whole endcap full of them. Decided I better grab one now because thats going to be one of those items thats going to be extremely hard to find as we get closer to school. Everything else I will wait on as we get closer. My son is flying several states away in 2 weeks to visit my mom and then she is flying back him back home right before school starts. She said she is taking both my kids on huge back to school shopping spree once she arrives. So I am waiting till then to buy anything else.

This is my first year not starting school in the Fall. So weird. I can’t wait until DS is old enough for school because i LOVE school supply shopping. I think school starts here somewhere around the 20th

For me? I graduated in 1988. School's out forever!
My kids start in September after Labor Day

The younger two 1st and 3rd graders start on Aug 14th. The older 7th grader starts on Aug 15th.
