The transition has been pretty clean, since it was announced I don’t see anyone holding on or dragging.

Whoever made this cartoon obviously did not watch night one of the Democratic Convention. Super positive, great energy, and Biden's speech could not have been more supportive of Harris.Olioxenfree wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2024 10:13 am The transition has been pretty clean, since it was announced I don’t see anyone holding on or dragging.

I admit I haven't been watching but what little I've heard of Biden's speech is very supportive of Harris. He said, "I love my job but I love my country more." I'm sure behind closed doors he feels upset as anyone would. Maybe in private he even was angry at the idea that he couldn't do the job. Biden wouldn't be human if he wasn't upset at the implications. But in public he's stepping down with grace which is more than I could say for the cheeto on Jan 6. I'm not sure what more we can ask for.MonarchMom wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2024 1:51 pmWhoever made this cartoon obviously did not watch night one of the Democratic Convention. Their coup was so brilliantly done they managed to convince democrats that it was awesome to remove a democratically elected candidate to impose someone they never cared about. They put her in, rebranded her as the savior of the Democratic Party and have them thinking they have wanted her all along and Biden is such a selfless guy he stepped out because he cares about them
They’re so easily manipulated.

You can only speak for yourself and your own opinions. What you wrote does not reflect what I hear from Democrats I know, or what I see in interviews and discussion boards. $540 Million raised since she announced her candidacy speaks volumes.Momto2boys973 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 3:42 pm Their coup was so brilliantly done they managed to convince democrats that it was awesome to remove a democratically elected candidate to impose someone they never cared about. That is a load of nonsense. Biden is still the "democratically elected" president until his term officially ends in January. There was no coup. A coup is what Trump tried in 2020. Biden knows how important it is to keep Trump from screwing up our country again and he was willing to do what it takes to make that happen. "Democratically elected" refers to actual elections, NOT to party conventions.
