Very long but very interesting read.
"UNRWA employees are alleged to have participated in the October 7 terror attack against Israel. Is there any truth to the allegations? And what happens to the Gaza Strip if the most important humanitarian relief organization is abolished in the middle of the war?"

Horrifying new video shows Hamas kidnapping young Israeli women and saying “these are the girls who can get pregnant”

"Karim Khan said his office had applied to the world court’s pre-trial chamber for arrest warrants for the military and political leaders on both sides for crimes committed during Hamas’s 7 October attack and the ensuing war in Gaza.
He named Yahya Sinwar, the Hamas chief in Gaza, and Mohammed Deif, the commander of its military wing, considered to be the masterminds of the 7 October assault, as well as Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of the group’s political bureau, who is based in Qatar, as wanted for crimes of extermination, murder, hostage-taking, rape, sexual assault and torture."

With military service being mandatory for Israeli Jews, their military status almost makes it worse.Della wrote: ↑Wed May 22, 2024 9:18 pmHaven't you been the one saying it's a war and stuff happens in a war? But yeah, didn’t expect anything else coming from you.
New low, even for you: kidnapping and rape are totally valid as long as they’re done to women of the IDF. Because, of course for you Hamas combatants are “in identity women and children”, so killing them is a huge “war crime”. But raping women and keeping them hostage for 229 days, that’s totally acceptable, why the outrage? I mean… , right?

Of course. The Useless Nazis are too busy mourning the Butcher of Tehran and the ICC needs to draw disgusting moral equivalents between these monsters and Israel. Why do you think they included Hamas’ leaders in their arrest order? They know they won’t be affected by it at all, they’ll live safely and lavishly in Qatar. So first, so that gullible people would think that it can’t be considered an attack on Israel because they included both sides. If they had done it only to Israel, chances are there would be some backlash at the more than obvious bias and double standard. And second to make that disgusting moral equivalent between Hamas’ terrorist atrocities and Israel defending herself. Because you know, infiltrating a sovereign country to murder, rape and kidnap innocent men, women, children, babies and elderly people is exactly the same as going into war against the people who did that and vowed to do it again and still are holding your innocent citizens hostage. Let’s ignore the fact that Israel has gone above and beyond international law standards to protect civilians, that it has allowed thousands of humanitarian aid trucks through their border when it’s not required to do so, even though Hamas is throwing rockets to try to shut it down. No, let’s call that lies and continue to say …

Aww!! That is a cute try!
But what do you know? There wasn’t a war when Hamas invaded Israel and attacked civilians. There was a ceasefire at the time, I’m sure you know the word..? So this wasn’t a consequence of war. This was an unprovoked act of terrorism with no justification.
BEING a soldier doesn’t mean you’re always a legitimate target, BTW. Otherwise pretty much every citizen from a country with mandatory conscription would be a legitimate target always. Military not engaged in active hostilities are considered non combatants and as such, aren’t legitimate targets. You can’t go into Tel Aviv and start killing people and then use that pathetic line as a defense. Pretty much every citizen is a soldier, not every soldier is a combatant.
But please, keep doing the marvelous job of showing your true colors. You’re now saying that unwillingly killing a civilian at a time of war which yeah, sadly happens in every single war, is the same as willfully and purposely invading a country at a time of non hostilities to murder, rape and kidnap innocent civilians not engaged in any kind of warfare.
You should really educate yourself more on warfare and international law before mindlessly throwing accusations of “war crimes” and justifying terrorist actions as acceptable because the victims were non combatant soldiers.

So? The ICC knows it doesn’t affect Hamas’ leaders in the slightest. They’ll just stay living the lavish and beautiful life in Qatar, their yachts or choose to go to any country who won’t turn them over either because of loyalty or fear. I live in Mexico and if you ask me if Mexico would turn over Haniyeh to the ICC is he dared take a Cancun vacay, my answer would be hell to the no- and as much as it would pain me, I would agree. Mexico (and many other countries) won’t risk becoming a target for terrorists.
The only ones with the potential of getting screwed up are Netanyahu and Gallant and, of course, Israel. Not to mention the disgusting moral equivalent the ICC is drawing between terrorists committing barbaric atrocities on innocent civilians and a legitimate, democratic country defending its right to exist. That would be like dragging the US to the ICC over defensive actions after 9/11. Or arrest Churchill and FDR for attacking Germany and Japan.

Actually military service is mandatory for Jews, male Druzes and Circassians. Arab citizens may ask for an exemption, but most choose to enlist. Some ultra Orthodox Jews can also get an exemption as long as they’re studying in a yeshivah. Jewish non citizens can also enlist, as many did after October 7th. My oldest son wants to transfer to a university in Israel next year to finish his studies and volunteer at the IDF.
Israel isn’t the only country with mandatory conscription. So no, it doesn’t make any issues worse. It’s actually very common, but very few countries mandate it for women.
