When Biden talks about voters who are a threat to our democracy he’s not talking about half the voters. He’s talking about MAGA extremists and Trump.DSamuels wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 10:39 pmOnly 20% of the population voted for Trump? Hmm, then Biden should have won by a much larger margin if 80% voted for him.WellPreserved wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 10:04 pmMore like 20% of the population. Do you think Biden would have won over that 20% if he hadn't "insulted" them?
Honestly, I am surprised Biden got as many votes as he did. I think a lot of them were votes against Trump and not for Biden, the same way Trump won by getting the not Hillary votes.
Is this what you claim is an insult?
“ Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic," Biden said. "As I stand here tonight, equality and democracy are under assault. We do ourselves no favor to pretend otherwise."”
“ It's sickening to see the new attacks on the FBI, threatening the life of law enforcement agents and their families for simply carrying out the law and doing their job," Biden said.
"I want to say it as clearly as I can. There is no place in this country - no place - for endangering the lives of law enforcement. No place. None. Never. Period. I'm opposed to defunding the police. I'm also opposed to defunding the FBI."”
Let me tell this to my MAGA Republican friends in Congress. Don't tell me you support law enforcement if you won't condemn what happened on the 6th," he said, referring to the Jan. 6, 2021 riot by Trump supports at the Capitol.
These are truths not insults
