Charges are valid. Don’t see much of a reason why they wouldn’t be.

There was an incident in Boston where a gang of Black teenage girls attacked a woman because as they said she’s “a White woman wearing braids”. They were not charged with a hate crime, just assault on the woman and police and whatever.

I doubt they keep records but being in diverse cities race and immigration status sometimes is the cause of the attack. When they actually say it, it’s pretty clear.

Based on the information given, then yes, I agree with the charges. However, the information is pretty one sided so I can’t say whether my opinion would stay the same or change if more information were to be given.

Article doesn't say how it started. Did the elderly lady do something to attract their attention? How did it lead to the teens asking her if she is a trump supporter AND the elderly lady actually answering them?

The pick of the teens looks like they may be well to do- at least not poor. Maybe they're suffering from Affluenza ...

I already did. Black people do get arrested for hate crimes and these girls will be rightly included.

I’ve seen all sorts of people her away with hate crimes, whites included.

I agree the charges are more than justified, I just don’t agree that we get some preferential treatment that others don’t.

I remember reading an article a couple years ago that more are charged with hate crimes against white people than most other racial demographics. I want to say that article was about NY stats because I remember at the time it had reminded me of another incident I’d read a few years prior to that about a man assaulting a woman because she was white. I’m sure I’ve read about incidents in other states as well.

Hate crimes against white people for being white, or for being gay or a certain religion?

I’ve never seen it because of skin color… maybe it has happened before, I’ve just never heard of it happening.
