I had a boyfriend that watched NASCAR. I refused. I used to ask him how he could. it's all the same. Golf is bad enough but I can sort of see it. Drag racing I can too. But NASCAR I'd be waiting for an accident just to liven it up. That's awful. I know some have died that way but it's God awful boring. I like the pit crew. That's it.SouthernIslander wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 8:56 pmI never understood that either.Pjmm wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 8:48 pmBut that makes no sense. Someone should have seen the rope even used it. Ah well I've questioned the intelligence of those who drive round and round a track for several hours literally going nowhere and running the risk of being maimed in a horrid accident. Seems I'm right to do so if this is true and right now I doubt even the good Lord knows that. Most likely someone's pulling a fast one after all.Thelma Harper wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 7:59 pm
Tall roll up doors usually have a pull rope mounted to the inside framing. It's used to be able to close them. A short person can't reach a tall door lol.
FBI finds no crime over noose in Bubba Wallace NASCAR garage, says it was there since 2019

I like to watch drag racing sometimes too but it’s so damn dangerous. I guess it’s the adrenaline rush but it’s always been crazy to me. lolPjmm wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 9:04 pmI had a boyfriend that watched NASCAR. I refused. They use a rope because no one can reach the garage doors when they are up. Those bays are probably 10 feet high. And no, there wasn't a noose lying around for a year. Every bay has a rope on the doors so they can be pulled down. Instead of everyone jumping to the conclusion that it was a noose, common sense would tell you it's just a loop too make it easier to grab the rope. A straight piece of rope would be harder to grab a hold of.Frau Holle wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 7:46 pm They just had a noose lying around for a year?
Who uses a rope to pull open a door instead of the door handle?

What a gross waste of taxpayers' money to have 15 FBI agents wandering around a race track. Surely two agents would have sufficed, since 15 of them had their fingers up their asses.Lexy wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 7:44 pmIt took 15 FBI Agents to figure out it was a garage door pull rope. NASCAR officials didn't have a clue !!SouthernIslander wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 7:40 pmThis will be comparable to Jussie Smollett if Wallace planted the noose there or made the claim knowing how it got there. I’ll be the first to say he was dead wrong if that’s the case.Mommabearof2 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 7:07 pm I just saw that on the News. I have so many questions about this but as always by the end of the day it will be swept under the rug and forgotten about. Much like Jussie Smollett.
But if he did not know how it got there, I can see being WTF about it as there aren’t many ways to interpret a noose.

There's nothing going on. It was a big ta do about nothing. That same garage door pull is on every bay at that race track. In fact, it's probably common at a lot of race tracks.Pjmm wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 8:48 pmBut that makes no sense. Someone should have seen the rope even used it. I know what you're talking about. We use a warehouse at work for storage. It has a rope on the door although we don't use it much. My question is why didn't NASCAR know about it? I mean duh the employees should have said look ya dumb idiot that's to pull the door down. And the few I've seen aren't nooses. So either these drivers sustained some head injuries in their crashes or someone's pulling a fast one somewhere. Whatever. NASCAR Is more stupid than I thought.Mommamia wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 11:10 pmThere's nothing going on. It was a big ta do about nothing. I don't follow any kind of racing. But I would guess that NASCAR officials don't spend much time at the race track, especially in the garages. The officials referred to could be the owners and governing board. But then again, if they said they didn't know anything about it, maybe they were referring to that they hadn't heard anything about it before they were questioned.Pjmm wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 11:15 pmI know what you're talking about. And considering the article posted is from NBC, that could explain a lot since they aren't known for telling the truth.

You would think a nascar driver and his team would know what is was used for. I had no idea but I’m never in garages other than my own and I have an opener for that.Mommamia wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 10:54 pmThey use a rope because no one can reach the garage doors when they are up. How interesting! A good example of why it's not good to jump to conclusions before the facts are in.
