It does matter. One will continue the division and will get even more hateful. One will start uniting the nation. I’m not sure it will work but at least one of them will attempt it.

No, it's actually NOT straightforward and why I have asked what I have.

If you don't have a definitive answer or even just an opinion other that what you've originally posted, that's fine.
What it means to me is that a lot of people voted for Trump based on their belief that he was a great business man and he would accomplish his campaign promises of replacing our healthcare with something better and cheaper and build a wall.

Almost four years later there has been exactly zero done on improving our health care, there’s no wall, there’s 15% unemployment, we have the biggest deficit in the history of the country, and it’s been determined that Trump is an unstable man who does nothing all day but start Twitter wars.

And yet, people seem too embarrassed to admit that they were wrong about his ability to get anything done except executive orders.
Many DID vote for him due to his alleged business prowess and not being a politician to begin with.

However, it takes ALL sides to get something done and almost from the word "go," he has faced many obstacles in getting some of those campaign promises accomplished. That's how it goes but too often, too many are unwilling to understand that a sitting president may not get half of their goals met during the first to even second term, if they're elected for that. They will face battles from the opposing political party and because at the end of the day, THAT is how the games are played.

That 15% unemployment you have stated before to now is due to the past few months and Covid. Prior to that, the UE percentage was much lower.

There's a lot of unstable people running our country and from again, BOTH parties. I am one of many who have found themselves thoroughly disgusted by the lawmakers in this country, the POTUS, and those hoping to only see him have one term.

Tack on his supporters and those who oppose him, and many of us no longer care about politics...period.

Doesn’t matter why the unemployment rate is 8% and climbing. What matters is we have someone in the presidents office who is claiming that the economy is going to be the biggest and best you’ve ever seen in your life next quarter. No logic behind that statement. Like a child. It’s not going to happen that way and will be a devastating depression unless a plan is put into place.

Enough with the BOTH parties. The democrats cleaned up the mess that Bush Jr left behind. Now it’s time to clean up the gross overspending from the last three years on top of a pandemic.

There's an old saying....clean up your own backyard before you go sniffing into the yard of someone else and THAT is many, many Democrats who have a "backyard" of messes with their own policies, the cities so many of them represent in need of attention, and the jokes that belong to that party who are an embarrassment for this country.

You're the one who mentioned unemployment, Lemons, so obviously it does matter or should if you're going to place blame and complain.

A sitting President WILL attempt to try to reassure the country he or she is the "leader" of, despite walking around with egg on their face when those don't work out as planned.

What are you talking about? I said it doesn’t matter if “it’s not his fault “ that unemployment is heading upwards of 15%. He’s not addressing it. The White House for the first time ever, is not reporting economic projections, something that has been reported every summer over the last 40 years. This is because the economic projections for the country are so bad.

You don’t seem to understand the difference between ignoring and lying about a problem and reassuring a country. “The economy is going to come roaring back” is a lie, not reassurance. Unbelievable

Or....because the economic projections are not at the top of the heap of things to discuss at this moment.

You don't seem to understand Lemons, that it's very clear that no matter, you will find fault in anything and everything that Trump says and does. And that's OK.

However, not everyone is willing to get into these long-winded back and forths with you about it. YOU may not find "logic" in his statements but that doesn't mean his statements don't always make sense.

It simply means that you're unable to understand, agree, and find that logic.

The economy is not on the top of the heap to discuss right now? Wow.

And you’re post was pretty long winded without adding anything except the usual base type defending a leader without anything to back it up.

Not at this time...economic projections. While this is an election year and yes, the economy is extremely important, there are bigger issues going on. Unless you live in a cave, Lemons, surely you understand that.

"The usual base type defending a leader." Honestly, your political rhetoric has really gotten stale over time. This seems to be your own typical canned response and makes for engaging you in any type of conversation pointless.

Now, we can share put downs and voice our personal dislikes of the posting styles we differ on, but what would be the point? We aren't going to agree.....so....there's that.

In his own Trumpish way, I feel he did try to.

I am guessing that perhaps you don't?
