I have 3 that have moved out. 2 live about 45 minutes away in SC. One lives in Florida. I'll never have an empty nest though. Our oldest is handicapped and will always live at home. She's 29. Dh and I also have custody of our granddaughter. She's 3 1/2.

I have to admit I adjusted to the transition much quicker and much better than I ever thought possible. I have 3 children. The baby has one more semester but has been interning every summer since freshman year so he doesn't come home during the summer months.
Its strange. But I have always stayed very active and very independent so I had a lot of hobbies, activities and trips waiting in the wing.

I hope it gets easier over time. You're right about it being time to enjoy now. No grands yet. When the time is right I look forward very much. How about you....any grands yet?

It's nice you have the younger children at home. Is the older one going to school?
