He held her OUT OF THE WINDOW

Not just up against it. But OUT OF THE WINDOW.

He absolutely should be charged. Remember the outrage when Michael Jackson held his youngest son over a balcony railing? Yeah this was similar
The storyline in the video goes that he was holding her above, not over, the railing. The railing that is the barrier between the deck and the window. How many inches away is the railing from the window?

If I made a mistake like that, I'd throw myself overboard.

Did you watch the video? He actually dangled her out of the window. He held her tummy down and because it’s blurry I can’t tell if her entire body was outside of the window or just the top half but you can tell he is holding her out the window.
The family is now mad that the cruise line released the video. They’re asking why they would do it and the just want to grieve their baby. I don’t get them they’re the ones who are trying to sue the cruise line. That’s not just grieving. The cruise line is protecting themselves. The family’s lawyer is saying they want all 13 cameras not just the one. Like the other cameras are going to show something different

That’s the thing. They say the other cameras would indeed show something different. Don’t ask me how though.

And yes. If they really wanted to just grieve they wouldn’t have sued so damn quick.

I don’t know how it would show anything different. It looks like he leaned over the window before he even picked the little girl up so that disproves that he said he thought it was shut.

Yep. He did indeed lean out first.

I read somewhere that you could be a alcoholic. And while he may not have appeared drunk he could have been and if he was blackout drunk he won’t remember the events properly. He should have taken the plea deal.

He was right there by the bar.

What hasn’t come out yet is if he had been drinking, his card that he got when he boarded the ship would be able to shed some light on that.

I feel bad for the family but I don’t think the cruise ship is at fault.

Was he drinking? Taking medication? What was his intent?

Personally, I could never allow a small child in my family to that window - glass or not, or even by the rails. My only thoughts would be "What if something happens? What if someone trips? What if someone bumps us? What if the ship tilts? What if, what if, what if...
I think he’s getting charged because I think the family tried to sue the cruise.
Pier to Rico has nothing to do with Royal Caribbean. He is being charged because he killed his grandchild due to negligence

I agree. There really should be glass in those windows. It’s an accident waiting to happen.

No, I just read the article. Did you read it? I thought it hadn't been released to the public?

I will say that different camera angles will show differences in where they were. Depth perception makes a lot of difference, so different camera angles will be a factor in determining what actually happened. Using one video alone just doesn't make the cut, imo.
