And you would know they're all Republicans..........HOW, Libby?

Be cautious as you're just this close to treading once again into something you've claimed you don't do which is to make fun of weight issues of others.
Every complaint about school lunches at CM and here and Online is mainly a slam at Michelle Obama.
The complaint was clearly prejudiced against her.
And it’s a Crime to feed kids sugary greasy fatty salty foods and allowing them ( and the rest of the family ) to become unhealthy as a result of obesity.

Obesity is okay with you?🤪
Fine! Go stuff your Face and call
Michelle a man just like your buddy Morgan loves to do!
Wouldn't it be a "slam" against Michelle Obama given that the school lunch program was HER pet project?

How would it have been "prejudiced?"

Again, you didn't answer my question. How do you know that the only ones feeding their children unhealthy food and waltzing around with "beer bellies" are Republicans only?

As for your last little tidbit, do you EVER self-edit what rolls out of your brain before you write it down? Do you have any remote idea just how damn ridiculous you often come across as when you start becoming unhinged because.....::::grasping the pearls::::....someone has the audacity to dispute what you have to say or more, HOW you're saying it?
STFU
I bet you’re obese and getting extremely defensive and butt hurt.

lol Actually no, Libby, you're wrong on all counts.

And the irony of YOU referring to my comments as defensive and butt hurt is once more lost on you.

STFU? No, I shan't. You, however, can blow me.

Yep
It’s just ridiculous that so many kids are being fed crap
And their moms are happy that they will skip fruits and vegetables in favor of chicken nuggets and donuts. Michelle actually wanted kids to eat heathy lunches but because it was Her idea, they rejected it.
Republicans have no clue about nutrition. Their kids have bellies - just like their dads who have beer bellies!
They’re all stumbling around malls with sugary drinks and snacks , shopping and gaining weight as a family activity.

Seriously? LMAO!

What nutritional value does thrown away food have? Better to serve some pizza or chicken nuggets that get eaten verses fruits and vegetables getting thrown in the trash.
Omg
😳
How about putting the menu on the state & local level & let them decide what school kids eat with input from the PTA.

DID YOU EVER SEE A KID WANTING MORE FRUITS AND VEGGIES!
SLAP AN APPLE ON A TRAY AND WATCH HOW THEY GO FOR IT!
CARROTS ANYONE? HARDLY! MORE OF THAT IS TOSSED INTO THE TRASH AND THE KIDS ARE STILL UNDER-NOURISHED AND HUNGRY! PRESIDENT IS CORRECT AS ALWAYS!

Kids can be trained early in life to love apples, pears, broccoli, etc.
My kids and grandkids do.
Your reply is pathetic.

My kids aren’t very happy with the lunch selection a lot of days. In elementary you eat what’s there or you bring your own. My kids were much happier when they moved into middle school because in addition to the regular menu they got the choice of salad bar. They would much rather eat salad and other veggies than whatever they tried to pass off as the meal. Both of my parents worked in the school system when the new regulations came out. My dad as the head custodian saw so much more waste than what was before and kids still being hungry because they weren’t allowed seconds. And the cooks were not allowed to make homemade food like they used to. They used to make buns and a few other things from scratch. They were forced to buy the processed crap filled with preservatives. Tell me, how is any of that better for the kids?

Here's a sample menu in PDF format of the Healthy, Hunger-free Kids Act of 2010...Michelle Obama's school lunch project.

https://obamawhitehouse.archives.gov/si ... _chart.pdf

I've noticed that margarine is on there, which is a fat, and that's fine. But what about no salt butter instead?

A thought that comes to mind is that while these really are healthier options (not necessarily the canned fruit but at least it's a fruit), were children being offered a healthy snack during the day as well?

And another question......while it's not listed on THIS particular sample menu, were calories ever listed where children could see them?
