Yes.

Walgreens started doing this a while ago, too, actually.

It never stopped us in high school when it was 18. It’s one of those things that looks good on paper but is pretty much pointless. Smokers will get ahold of cigarettes, age be damned.

Our state has had that law since July.

Kinda sucks if you wanna buy stop smoking aides and you are under 21. You could have started by now but you aren't legally allowed to buy aides since they contain nicotine. I do agree with upping the age though.

This has been law in Oregon for several years now.
The oranges of the island are like blazing fire
Amongst the emerald boughs
And the lemons are like the paleness of a lover
Who has spent the night crying.

How stupid. Smoking is gross but adults should be able to make their own decisions.

So glad I live in a place where 18 is considered an actual adult.

Is this just a gut feeling in your part of do you have evidence to show that raising the smoking age has no impact on teen smoking rates? Because there’s a fair amount of good evidence demonstrating that it does. I’d be curious to see what study you are using for reference!

These laws are so arbitrary. If you're old enough to die fighting for our country, you are old enough to drink and smoke. Either you're an adult when you're 18 or you're not.
