I would think so!

Okay. A different lifestyle. What if Duck Dynasty guys were invited to schools to represent their lifestyle? Or let's say Jerry Falwell was still alive? What about representing people like him at our schools?
Ok. That would make for some interesting discussions, wouldn't it?
They'd have more to offer the kids then a mentally disturbed man, that's for sure.
Idk I've often wondered if Falwell was all there myself. But generally speaking I really wouldn't want a drag queen talking to my kids about sexuality and I'm pretty open. If they wanted a discussion about the LGBTQ community why not have a gay couple or a mental health professional?

I imagine it depends on the felony. Talking to them as a guest isn't the same as teaching them. That doesn't bother me as much as the other. But i work with a felon who actually has been more trustworthy than some never imprisoned.

I would have had no problem with a former felon speaking to my kids at their school, as long as they weren't a sexual offender. I feel that former felons can speak to topics such as drug addiction, robbery etc. in a more personal and relatable way than those who have never been part of the system of incarceration. Former felons have a lot to offer as far as education. I also don't have a problem with members of the LGBTQ community speaking to elementary kids. I'm not so sure about David Robertson. I would be curious as to his presentation and messaging.

Aww poor widdle Tony Perkins. I'll bet he needed his safe space after reporting on that. If they failed to do a criminal background then that's on the administrators. The guy has a record for prostitution. He's not a pedophile. All he did was read stories and play with makeup with the kids. I wouldn't get my panties in a bunch over this.

Well first of all I 100% disagree with Morgan they are not dressed up as whores. I actually love drag queens and have zero issue with them being around children. Now as far as the convicted felony part it would honestly depend what the charges were if I would have an issue.

A "guest cosmetologist?" What exactly was the purpose of this? What was the intended message outside of putting make-up on?

Things have changed considerably since my now three adult children were all in grade school. I try to keep up with new thinking but given that the present time, I have no grand-children, I don't necessarily feel I NEED to keep up with new thinking on stuff like this.

However, I would want to know more about the message and what this person was there for in the first place MORE than I would their past/present, unless the individual is a former S*x offender.
