Delaney was #2 for me.
He’s from Maryland and was elected to represent District 6 - Western MD, traditionally very conservative area. Yet he collided with then Governor O’Malley to gerrymander the districts so a liberal elite from Montgomery County will always now represent Western Maryland. That’s how he got in. Then as soon as elected, he started running for President, not doing a darn thing for the people he was elected to serve. A real POS. I think he announced his candidacy for President on 11/15/2016
Well despite apparently agreeing with him on many things, he will NOT be receiving my vote.
Piece of work from the sound of things.
He’s also a big proponent of the “rain tax” that O’Malley installed and Governor Hogan repealed as one of his first things to do. Basically, they gauged the rainfall and taxed us a percentage equivalent to the rainfall and gave all that money to Baltimore for storm water drainage system maintenance... although I don’t think they ever used it for that. Many of the Baltimore leaders have pocketed money. I was ready to move out of Maryland when we had a really rainy year, that tax made me so mad
A previous mayor (John Peyton) in my county did that.
