I recall learning most of this in high school American History class and it made a big impression on us- this was 1958-59 when there was so much bigotry and racism infecting our country. We had discussions in class and even a “ debate” on how our country was suffering and why. Our teacher let us all speak out.

America needs to be more aware of the harm caused by back-sliding into the past.
