No, it doesn't get enough traffic for me to worry much. For now I honestly see no reason.

I honestly don't think it will. I don't think most people know it exists because of the sub category you need to click on first before you even see it.

I can make it so posts don’t show on the active topics list. That way you have to visit the group to see the posts, would that be better for you guys?
