uh huh, sure until YOU'RE the one being rejected with a higher score and more accomplishments and someone else less qualified is taking your place.
Or rejected because some rich person paid $500,000 to bribe the tennis coach to claim their kid is a prodigy. Or rejected because Kushner gave the school $2 million dollars to buy a building. It will never just be about high scores.
and that is WRONG and illegal, hence the public outrage and the parents being CHARGED FOR A CRIME. I am not advocating for that. obviously those people need to do the time for their crime and new policies need to be put in place to avoid fraud like that in the future. however, This is not any different! The academic standards should be the same for everyone.
Legacies and huge donations aren't illegal. Academic standards aren't the same for every high school student. Some receive substandard educations. That doesn't mean they should get admitted to an ivy league school with poor test scores. But SAT's have long been known to favor students from wealthier communities. That's why some colleges don't even use them.

Well... I guess I don’t feel threatened because I got into the University I wanted and the grad school I wanted.

When you get good grades, test high and take part in volunteer activities there are plenty of opportunities out there... giving someone else a leg up who had to overcome extreme adversity doesn’t seem that “scary” to me...
uhhh, No, the point here is, those things you listed are no longer whats required to get an opportunity. plenty of kids who work hard and perform well academically will be discriminated against based on their zip code.
Those things still bring opportunities. Some people receiving a leg up because they had to overcome adversity does not negate every other opportunity.

Could you be more racist? There are more poor white people in this country than minority people.
Get off her ass, this is about race and physical "diversity", but they cant legally be racist so they make it about other factors which gives a disproportionate advantage to minorities based solely on factors that have nothing to do with their skills. if you wont admit race, it for sure gives an advantage to immigrants and the children of immigrants over native born citizens. its discrimination.

Asian American students are suing several universities for discrimination. they are being denied even though acceptance even they have higher test scores and Harvard basically said "Asians are boring" by giving them low personal ratings. that is racism hiding behind a "personal score".

Harvard gives Asian Americans significantly lower ratings for subjective personal qualities, including leadership and compassion, than applicants from other racial groups. African Americans are given the highest ratings of all races.

I am talking about their REAL ACTUAL non adjusted for "adversity" SAT scores.

if you found out they werent really qualified for med school but passed because they were raised in a tough neighborhood, youd be fine with that?
Adversity Scores are not added to SAT scores. I always look at my doctor's med school diploma. I've never been concerned about his/her SAT scores. Also, MCATs qualify you for med school, not SATs.
I read their SAT scores are adjusted based on their "Adversity score", so they get an actual lower score and I know SAT scores dont get you into med school, but the same principle applies. and where do med students start off?
I haven’t read that SAT scores are adjusted. Everyone will get an adversity score - 1-100. I think it’s pretty silly to be pissed that some may get higher scores than others. Your dad died, damn, you’re going to get a higher adversity score than my kid. Who thinks this way?

Being from an affluent family meant I could study as much as I wanted, utilize every technological advancement that helped me learn, and have as much private tutoring as I wanted...

So I got pretty high scores when it came to testing.
Clearly scores don't mean a lot

Does this mean that we can all quit pretending that we are all equal?
