I volunteered for several years driving women from rural Appalachia to the closest abortion provider (2 1/2 - 4 hours away). I look back at that time as one of the most rewarding.SisterSomeone wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 7:12 pm I'm a volunteer with a pro-choice group in my area. I can't adequately explain to you how gratifying it is when I succeed at distracting a patient from the vile people trying to tear her down for seeking medical care for herself. I have always thought that it takes the basest, most abhorrent scum on the planet to stand in front of a medical facility and bully patients, but I didn't truly comprehend just how repugnant those people can get until I started doing this. It is literally impossible to spout the sort of things I hear every weekend and call yourself pro-life in the same breath. Someone who can get in a woman's face and yell at her that she deserves to die in horrifically graphic ways is not pro-life, they're just pro-making themselves feel superior.

The anti choice crowd doesn’t much care what is true. She says things that support their narrative, that’s all that matters.

I was offered to go see the movie. At the time I had not even heard about it and I haven’t seen any previews. The article says something about a worker leaving after seeing an abortion done during a sonogram. What were the circumstances behind the abortion and is this a true story?

I wound up in the middle of one of those scream fests. Bitches yelling at me, calling me horrible names. And all I was doing was going to eat at the restaurant a few doors down.

How was it rewarding? Do you know how many of them were having an abortion for medical reasons either with the mother or baby? Not being snarky, I'm really curious, because I've known several women who have had an abortion and none of them have been because of medical problems .msb64 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2019 4:24 pmI volunteered for several years driving women from rural Appalachia to the closest abortion provider (2 1/2 - 4 hours away).
