In general, If a man calls a woman a trophy wife, is that a compliment or an insult?
Imo it would be an insult. Just curious what other women think.

Insult. He wants you for how you look and not because he really loves you.

I am in my early 40’s, at this point, I feel he’d be mocking me, lol. So an insult...
I’m 44 and I regularly tell DH he’s lucky to have landed such a hottie lol.LiveWhatULove wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2019 8:34 am I am in my early 40’s, at this point, I feel he’d be mocking me, lol. So an insult...

I call myself my DH's trophy wife. I have said to him "It takes a lot of work to be a trophy wife." when I am heading to the spa, or going to work out.

Lol, you very well be. But as “hot” as I am, I can no longer contend with a 22 year old, lol. Those 20&30 somethings would just be a better trophy, haha!Anonymous 1 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2019 8:42 amI’m 44 and I regularly tell DH he’s lucky to have landed such a hottie lol.LiveWhatULove wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2019 8:34 am I am in my early 40’s, at this point, I feel he’d be mocking me, lol. I’ve had people call me a trophy wife, gold digger etc because I’m 12 years younger than my dh and he makes good money (low 6 figures) and stay home. Idc what people think. I love my dh and he loves me. He does come with some good perks tho!

I would consider it an insult, unless the dh was saying it jokingly, as in you are younger and more attractive than him.
