I'm sure the Holocaust survivors will love to hear censorship is becoming all the rage again, you know, since it worked out so well the first time around....
Good. Give the idiots less access to one another and hopefully this dumb trend will go away.
FB has a policy not to post antisemitic ads or links to antisemitic content. There is a FB group specifically for reporting antisemitic content. Do you think this is censorship? Do you think Holocaust survivors are outraged by this supposed censorship?scemily526 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2019 5:58 pm I'm sure the Holocaust survivors will love to hear censorship is becoming all the rage again, you know, since it worked out so well the first time around....

censorship is a slippery slope no matter how you slice itmsb64 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2019 6:20 pmFB has a policy not to post antisemitic ads or links to antisemitic content. and as far as FB is concerned, misinformation is okay if it increases vaccine compliance. Any information that decreases vaccine compliance is automatically equal to misinformation, no matter how accurate or science-based.msb64 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2019 6:20 pmFB has a policy not to post antisemitic ads or links to antisemitic content. I believe there is a big difference between hate speech on Facebook and and declaring your beliefs that vaccines are not helpful to you.msb64 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2019 6:20 pmFB has a policy not to post antisemitic ads or links to antisemitic content. You might. But should facebook, a private company, be allowed to decide what they do and don't allow on their site. They have decided that hate speech, pornography, and now anti-vax lit should not be allowed. Are you okay with legally changing their policies and forcing them to post information and advertise products that you are okay with but they might not be? Don't forget, this is not the WWW, this is a private company.morgan wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2019 6:53 pmI believe there is a big difference between hate speech on Facebook and and declaring your beliefs that vaccines are not helpful to you.msb64 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2019 6:20 pmFB has a policy not to post antisemitic ads or links to antisemitic content. Facebook is a company and so can decide what content it wants on its site. If a user doesn't like it he or she is free to find any one of a number of blogs or other social media to get the message across. Twitter, Snapchat, and Google plus come to mind along with YouTube. It's not censorship. After the whole Russian troll in our elections it seems to me facebook needs to have a care for what it allows to be posted.
