My oldest has developed an allergy to most red dyes. She also currently has a nasty cold. I went to grab some cough meds and was surprised to see how many of them have red dye. Luckily, I found meds that would work for her. But damn. Why do they all have to have red dye?

If you or your spouse is a Vet, check out this link. They offer really cheap tickets to local events and concerts. I have done a lot of cool stuff through them.

If my kids absolutely need cough medicine, we use Vicks. It's dye free.

We don't eat anything with dyes and sometimes it can be tough.

I recommend fire cider to ward off colds and coughs.

It can be tough to find what you need. My baby had a red dye allergy.

I actually don't. Nobody in my home is sensitive to it, so we don't care. I'm sure it would suck if this was something we had to look out for.

Yes but I never found avoiding eyes to be difficult. We have since discovered more allergies and that's difficult.

Some kids say red dyes increase their adhd symptoms.

Seems stupid to put it in cough syrup.

I find most cough medicine sucks anyhow. Ds used to get relief from steam and tea with honey.
